Meet Our Team
Sam Blatt currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Blue Ox Resources. He was previously Chief Operating Officer at Primexx Energy Partners (“Primexx”) where he led a multi-disciplinary team focused on the development of their Delaware Basin assets. Prior to Primexx, Sam served as Director of Operations for J Cleo Thompson Petroleum where his responsibilities included Asset Management, Reserves, Completion Design, and Business Planning for their Delaware and Midland Basin assets. During his time at Primexx and J Cleo Thompson, Sam led teams that successfully divested of multiple upstream and midstream assets totaling more than $2.5 billion. Sam graduated with a B.S. Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from West Virginia University.
Chase White currently serves as President of Blue Ox Resources. Mr. White previously served as Executive Vice President of Business Development at Primexx. Additionally, Mr. White served as Chief Financial Officer for Rock Ridge Royalty, a mineral aggregation platform focused on the Delaware Basin. At Primexx and Rock Ridge, Mr. White evaluated over $2 billion in leasehold, royalty and midstream transactions. Prior to joining Primexx, Mr. White worked as an investment banker with J.P. Morgan Securities. Mr. White graduated with a BBA in Management from Texas A&M University and holds a MBA from Southern Methodist University.
Phillip Douget currently serves as Vice President and General Manager of the Permian Basin for Blue Ox Resources. Prior to Blue Ox, Mr. Douget served as both Manager of Integrated Service Planning and Manager of Midstream at Primexx. In those roles he managed $1 billion of capital investments and oversaw the buildout of the Primexx gas and water infrastructure in the Delaware Basin. Mr. Douget started his career at Halliburton holding various roles in drilling, completions and water management. Phillip graduated with a BA from Northwestern State University.
Dane Greaser currently serves as Vice President of Operations for Blue Ox Resources. Prior to Blue Ox, Dane was Operations Manager at Primexx running its multi-rig and completions program. Before Primexx, Dane was Drilling Manager with J Cleo Thompson, various Drilling Engineering roles with AEP, Devon Energy and EQT. Dane graduated with a BS in Petroleum Engineering and Natural Gas Engineering from West Virginia University.
Michael Mast currently serves as Vice President of Engineering for Blue Ox Resources. Prior to Blue Ox, Michael was Subsurface Engineering Manager at Primexx. Michael began his career with Halliburton holding various engineering roles ultimately ending his time as a member of their Technical Team. Michael graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a BS in Chemical Engineering.
Zach Allman currently serves as Vice President of Land for Blue Ox Resources. Prior to Blue Ox, Zach served as Senior Landman for Primexx and worked directly on the sale of Primexx to Callon Petroleum Company as well as the divestitures of Rock Ridge Royalty and Jetta Permian. He began his career as a Landman at Jones Energy where he advised on managing drilling programs, acquisitions/divestitures, grassroots leasing, and all other facets of land management. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BBA in Energy Management and Finance.
Steven Murray currently serves as Vice President of Finance for Blue Ox Resources. Prior to Blue Ox, Mr. Murray served as Finance Director for Primexx and led the budgeting and forecasting process as well as managed the commodity hedging program. Prior to Primexx, Mr. Murray worked as an associate at Wells Fargo Energy Capital and an analyst in the Energy & Power Investment Banking Group at Wells Fargo Securities. Mr. Murray graduated from Texas Christian University with degrees in Economics and Accounting.
